Q: How do you think Panchito feels to be seperated from the rest of his family and to only be with his brother, Roberto?
A: I think that Panchito feels probably kind of lonely because he only has his brother with him and is missing the rest of his family. He also might wonder how his family is doing. Another thing is that he might have to work more as in doing more chores since his mother is not their to do them.
Q: Why do you think Peggy's Mom asked if he was spanish? What's the difference between Spanish and Mexican?
A: I think that Peggy's mom asked because maybe she did not like spanish people and wanted to know what race Panchito was. I think the difference between Mexican and Spanish is that Mexicans are from Mexico and Spanish are from Spain but they both speak the same language which is Spanish.
Q: Roberto & Panchito work 7 days a week, go to school, and study on Saturday night's. Do you think today's generation of teenagers have the same work/family ethic and values?
A: No, I do not think so because these days teenagers do not really go to work with their parents or anything like that most of them just stay home or go hang out with their friends. Maybe sometimes they might just do a couple chores at home every once in a while.
Q: Put yourself in the shoes of a farmworker youth. Imagine working 14 hours in harsh conditions. What would be the hardest thing about this life for you?
A:The hardest thing about this life for me would be that you get really tired and you work hard in that job but they don't even pay you much. You also have to get up early in the morning and do it all over again every day.
Q:One of the farmworker kids says, ''after all the work is over, nobody remembers the people. Or the children who worked. The farmworker is forgotten. ''Do you agree with this statement? Do these videos change the way you think about fruits and vegetables? Explain.
A:I disagree because without the farmworkers we probably would not have any fruits and vegetables. These videos do change the way I think about fruits and vegetables because it makes me feel bad for those people that have to work hard all day.
Q:Panchito's family sticks together, they help each other through poverty, and there is a high level of respect. Do you think Pancho made the right choice? Defend your answer.
A: I think that he has made the right choice because Panchito has been working very hard at work and at school, so he probably does deserve to go to college because he earned it. In school he always worked hard, tried his best and he did all of that because he had the passion to go to college so that he could get paid well and help out his family. He was also eligible to go to college because of his good grades and thats why he received a scholarship because out of all the hard work that he has been doing his whole life and for not giving up it lead him to a good success. So I do think that Panchito did make the right choice.
